Pisa is a very beautiful city , brimming with art, culture and elegant, historic buildings, monuments and statues. There’s enough to keep you busy for over a week. Other sightseeing destinations which are easily reachable by public transport are; Florence (about 1 hour by train), Lucca (reachable by bus or train) and Siena, a bit further away but still reachable by train.
The coast is also connected to the city by bus, the local beaches are found in Marina di Pisa and Tirrenia. Other coastal towns like; Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi are easily reached by train.
